Georgetown South Carolina Inshore Fishing – 4th of July Week 2013

Here’s some photos from the week of the 4th of July. Hope everyone had a good holiday and had time to spend with family and friends. The rain from last week really impacted our water clarity and salinity…our bay water is as fresh as I’ve ever seen it. The whole time I was poling the boat on sunday I had that song stuck in my head…old black water keep on rolling…serious, it was that dirty. We still managed some nice fish, but we really had to work for them. The bait is scarce due to the infiltration of fresh water and we were lucky to have stopped by Pawleys Outdoors for some mud minnows. The highlight of the trip on sunday was spotting the first rosate spoonbill of the season. We were fortunate enough to have one feeding along side us while we were fishing for 30 mins or so. Such a cool bird.
