Justin, Thomas, and Henry – June 25th & 26th 2011 – Georgetown, SC Fishing

Had a great weekend of fishing with some awesome people. Justin and Thomas came up from Charleston and pounded the redfish and blacktip sharks on Saturday. We had a great bite all morning. Henry and I fished on Sunday and enjoyed the best redfish bite I’ve seen all summer.¬† Henry is from Long Island – I think he said it best when he said “those redfish are really some scrappers” (insert Long Island accent here).¬† He boated a monster fish and we had plenty of doubles throughout the day. We even got a little tarpon recon mixed-in towards the end of the morning. I finished the weekend off with some tarpon scouting with Capt. Newman Weaver & Cubby and a mega crab-boil with my neighborhood¬†amigos. Very blessed to be living here in the Lowcountry!

Crabs – blues and stones – yum

Here’s a picture of the giant sea-monster gator that weighed more than the tarpon we were hoping to catch. Huge!
