Day After Christmas Awesomeness – Georgetown SC Fishing Charters

Hope everyone had a great Christmas season and got to spend time with family! Douglas and I took Mr Hood out yesterday evening for a little post-Holiday fishing and got treated to a killer redfish bite. It was a classic high pressure system right before a front – this usually triggers the fish to put on their feed bags. The wind layed-out perfectly around 4pm and the fish began to break the surface with backs and tails out of the water. At one point, there was 20 tails out of the water at once – Merry Christmas to us! For awhile, we just decided to hold off on casting and watch the awesomeness that was going on aroud us. They eventually let me bomb a fly into the school and wrangle up a nice tailing redfish. Great winter day in the Low Country.
