The Wooden Boat Show was this weekend in Georgetown, SC – this is my all time favorite Georgetown event. The organizers did an incredible job making this year’s event arguably the best one in the books. The workmanship on some of the wooden boats was nothing short of mind-blowing. There were steam driven skiffs, custom wooden yacht tenders, cabin cruisers, and more. Make sure to check out the event next year if you missed it.
Sunday I took Chris for a redfish charter and the conditions were excellent – about time we got some legitamate sight fishing weather. The winds were light and the water was clear which made it easier to spot schools of fish cruising the marsh at higher tides. Chris is an excellent fly caster – he can honestly cast a fly rod better than his conventional tackle. This guy wouldn’t bait fish if his life depended on it…I like that about him. He brought several nice fish to hand throughout the afternoon. Good work Chris!
